Project notifications in Slack

Completed tasks, moved dates and new assignments reach your team’s channel, with a morning digest and a Monday summary.

  • Available
  • Free, included in every account

What it does

Slack: project updates in the channel

The team sees what matters without opening the plan: completed tasks, moved deadlines, new assignments, plus a morning summary and a weekly one.

Where it helps

  • The team follows progress in the channel without opening the plan.
  • Next-day deadlines and overdue tasks arrive every morning.
  • Every Monday the channel receives the weekly summary for the progress meeting.
What travels where

From Planitude to Slack

  • Completed tasks, dates moved on critical tasks and milestones, new assignments → Channel message, From Planitude to Slack
  • Tasks due the next working day and overdue tasks → Message at 8:00, From Planitude to Slack
  • Progress, delay against the baseline and next milestones → Weekly summary, Monday at 9:00, From Planitude to Slack

Both ways

  • Project status ↔ /planitude status, Both ways. You ask from the channel, Planitude answers only to you

Setup

Connect it in three steps

  1. Add to Slack

From the project, open Notifications → Slack, choose the workspace and allow. Public channels are ready at once; for a private one, first type /invite @planitude there.

  2. Choose channel and updates

Pick the channel, which updates to send, how to group close changes (from immediately to 60 minutes), the language and the time zone of the messages.

  3. Read and ask

Updates arrive in the channel with a link to the task. Type /planitude status to get the project status: only you see the answer.

Requirements

Plan
Free. Every integration is included in every Planitude account.
Who can connect it
Owner or editor of the Planitude project; viewers see the connection status.
What you need
A Slack workspace where you can add apps. For a private channel, first invite the app with /invite @planitude.

Good to know

  • Pause or disconnect in one click; when no other project uses the workspace, the Slack token is revoked.
  • The command only sees the projects connected to that channel.

Frequently asked questions about Slack

Do notifications reach people who do not use Planitude?

Yes. Every member of the channel can read the messages; opening the task from the link requires an account with access to the project.

Can I connect several channels to the same project?

Each project can post to one Slack channel and one Teams channel. Several projects, on the other hand, can post to the same channel.

Do the integrations cost anything?

No. Every integration is included in Planitude, which is free. You only need your own access to the other tool (for example a Jira, Slack or Microsoft 365 account) under its own terms.

How do I disconnect an integration?

From the app's page in the project, with Disconnect, at any time. Nothing is deleted: tasks stay in Planitude, issues and messages stay in the other tool. Connected AI apps are revoked from Profile → API keys.
