Communication

Gantt chart and notifications in Microsoft Teams

Project updates reach a Teams channel through Workflows, and the Gantt chart opens in a tab.

  • Available
  • Free, included in every account

What it does

Gantt chart for Microsoft Teams: updates in the channel and the plan in a tab

Two independent parts. Notifications go to a channel through a Teams Workflow, with no app to install. The Planitude tab shows the project's Gantt chart inside Teams.

Where it helps

  • Companies on Microsoft 365 that want updates in the project channel.
  • The Gantt chart always at hand in a channel tab, without switching apps.
  • Morning and weekly digests for people who follow several projects.
What travels where

From Planitude to Microsoft Teams

  • Completed tasks, dates moved on critical tasks and milestones, new assignments → Channel message, From Planitude to Microsoft Teams
  • Morning summary at 8:00 and weekly summary on Monday → Channel message, From Planitude to Microsoft Teams
  • Project Gantt chart → Tab in the channel, From Planitude to Microsoft Teams. Read-only, for people who have access to the project

Setup

Connect it in three steps

  1. Create a Workflow in the channel

In Teams, open ⋯ next to the channel → Workflows → “Send webhook alerts to a channel”, then copy the address it shows at the end.

  2. Paste it into Planitude

From the project, open Notifications → Microsoft Teams, paste the address and choose updates, grouping, language and time zone, as for Slack.

  3. Add the Gantt tab

Add the Planitude app to Teams (your Teams administrator can upload it), add the tab to the channel and choose the project.

Requirements

Plan
Free. Every integration is included in every Planitude account.
Who can connect it
Owner or editor of the project for notifications; the tab is visible to anyone with access to the project.
What you need
A Microsoft Teams team where you can create a workflow (Workflows). For the tab, the Planitude app uploaded to Teams, by your administrator if needed.

Good to know

  • Messages are posted by Microsoft's “Workflows” bot: its name and icon cannot be changed.
  • The Workflow address is encrypted and only shown shortened; the tab signs in with your Planitude account.

Frequently asked questions about Microsoft Teams

Does the old Office 365 connector still work?

No. Microsoft completed the retirement of Office 365 connectors on 22 May 2026. Create a Workflow in the channel and paste the new URL into Planitude.

Can I connect several channels to the same project?

Each project can post to one Teams channel and one Slack channel. Several projects, on the other hand, can post to the same channel.

Do the integrations cost anything?

No. Every integration is included in Planitude, which is free. You only need your own access to the other tool (for example a Jira, Slack or Microsoft 365 account) under its own terms.

How do I disconnect an integration?

From the app's page in the project, with Disconnect, at any time. Nothing is deleted: tasks stay in Planitude, issues and messages stay in the other tool. Connected AI apps are revoked from Profile → API keys.
